Set up your MacroPad

The browser pushes your key config over USB, but installing the firmware is a one-time drag-and-drop — no developer tools required.

First-time install

Plug in the MacroPad with a USB-C cable. A drive named CIRCUITPY appears.
Download both firmware files: Download boot.py Download code.py
Drag boot.py and code.py onto the CIRCUITPY drive, replacing any existing copies.
Eject the drive, then unplug and replug the device.
Click Connect device and pick the MacroPad port — you're ready.

Updating firmware later

Unplug the device. Hold KEY1 (top-left key) and replug — this makes CIRCUITPY writable from your computer.
Download the latest code.py and drag it onto the drive.
Eject, then unplug and replug without holding any key.
